Awaiting the premiere of
THE DEER PARK
A PRE CONCERT THEME EVENING
about
The royal Deer park on Öland

Lute music, talks and local stories

The oppression of Öland during the years of The royal Deer Park (1572-1801) is an unhealed wound in the local memory.
In composer Hans Gurstad-Nilsson's new choral drama, The Deer Park, the historic events are interpreted by VOKALHARMONIN, one of Sweden's leading choirs.

But already in January Öland's Museum Himmelsberga and Chronotopia welcome you to this sneak peek evening before the concert premiere. Historian Peter Aronsson, principal of the Linnaeus University, give a lecture on the historical background of The Deer park. We get a pre taste of the music from the lutenist Dohyo Sol, last seen in Luciamorgon 2023 in the Swedish Television (see link below). During the evening, there will also be an opportunity to contribute to the creative process by sharing locally known traditions and stories connected to The Deer park.
